"The purpose of life, is a life of purpose" - Robert Byrne
Sometimes life gets tough. Yeah, we can attest to that. Trust me - it isn't always easy.
Just try this one thing: Take a grain of salt & put it in your hand. This is how little natural things matter; your house, your car, your bills, your job...
Sometimes things like this seem like such a big issue. In fact, pretty often do things like this seems like such a big issue.
Everyone has those days that just take them by storm - when we're unexpectedly knocked down and all of a sudden, we can't see the things that really matter anymore. Because we're blinded by the stirring cloud of thoughts, worries, doubts, fears that seep into our mind. You're not the only one.
Maybe we could think about this differently. With each natural worry; each natural need, if we remembered this grain of salt in the palm of our hand, and just how insignificant it was - we would find ourselves relieved, and more so - thankful. Thankful for the small reminder that "this isn't our purpose".
Lately I've found comfort in this - and have found myself putting aside worries and pressing on toward the things that are waiting for me ahead.
So - may we all remember this grain of salt, and think to ourselves - there are greater things than this.
